Keeping it simple... what do we know about the banking crises?
1) Congress chartered Fanny & Freddy to aggresively make relaxed loans to people who could not otherwise get a home loan.
2) Congress rejected concerns made over the years that there was too much risk on the books.
3) Congress did this because they are not too bright, but they are very partisan. Both parties. The degree of both stupidity and partisanship is nothing new.
Which brings me to my point: Let's not have congress run ANYTHING unless there is NO WAY around it!
Do you want the guys who set all this up to take over health care?
