I think Palin's handling sets her perfectly for a low-expectations knockout. With the casual voter having been immersed in "light-weight" buzz from the media, when she comes out smoking... the big loser will be the Media Narrative. So its good to go in as low as possible... as long as the debate shows Palin as sharp, quick, and likable. The long term game for conservatives is to expose the DEGREE of media bias, and everything is ready to go.
If the campaign set this up deliberately, and it works out, that would be pretty impressive.
